I recommend you explore the Italian Riviera beyond Ventimiglia, one town at a time including the hinterland, they are magical places with atmospheres that you will not find in France. In Italy you eat and live well and the costs are reasonable
Absolutely! Here’s another Ligurisn video we did a few months ago: Sanremo, Charming Town in Liguria | Day Trip from Nice to Italy ruclips.net/video/AAyx5pCDkQo/видео.html - that’s a trip we‘ve been doing yearly for years now, great with friends and kids
Hi! It's me again! Thank you for telling me a few days ago that you were going to post this video today. I actually saw the blue screen in the nice train station in this video telling me which track each train went on. I cant understand how we missed this last time!!! You have been more helpful to me than all other people's videos combined!!!!! After watching this video this video we went to watch your monacco video and saw the restaurant you ate at I Express! We ate there when we went to visit French riviera last year. We couldn't remember the name of the restaurant so you just helped us with that too!! Thank you! We subscribed to your channel!
Thank you ladies for another wonderful video! It’s been incredibly helpful as we prepare for our upcoming trip to Nice The insights and tips you shared are exactly what we needed, and we’re feeling even more excited about the journey now. We truly appreciate all the effort you put into creating such informative and enjoyable content.
Hello beautiful girls! I am starting my day seeing your charming trip 🌞 What a wonderful and fast escape to another wonderful place near by. A little corner of Italy- which is such a beautiful country. Indeed super pleasant and as you said,it feels so different despite the close proximity. I ve never been there, but I believe you about the feeling,as I ve been in other parts of the country. And no,it's hard to believe you left with empty hands from the market. Didn't you like anything? Even from the food sections? Or was it because you went a bit late and till you scrow around all,the market time was over? Actually how long is the trip by train from Nice. I know it's a bit longer from Grasse of course. It's looking wonderful there. I like the spot with the fresh pasta of different kind on the market. And great choice of food for your lunch by the way. Both dishes look delicious. I probably would have gone for some kind of pasta too. Cliche I know. Its Italy. Although they are very good with seafood as well. So appropriate choice from both of you. It seems like only sunny days are approaching from now on. Feb.can be a surprise of course. But your sunny mood will fix it for sure in case of surprises. The coffee promise lol 😆 two cappuccinos-5 ? And their coffee is less I think than France. Maybe because they drink it as water everywhere hehe who knows. I wish and hope you ll make a plan to go again soon for longer time and dive deeper into the market scene. I will definitely have to make this trip to there. It's not your first time there I believe. I remember some time ago. Do you know which towns are next after this one? Super cool trip you did. A little change is always welcome. You can't go wrong with anywhere around. Thanks for the tips about which side to chose for sitting to there and on the way back. Will keep in mind. You both look great as usual. Keep those sunny smiles coming! 🤍
You‘re back 🤩☀️🤩. Thanks for watching closely as usual. Yeah, we were running out of time… I would have bought food, fresh pasta definitely, and for the market - so many clothes… we would have needed more time. Filming takes up quite some time, it’s hard to concentrate on other things sometimes 😅. The train ride is 52 minutes from Nice. And yes: Most of the coastal towns on the Italian Riviera are worth going (and the charming, authentic villages (well, there also many foreigners who have „invaded“ the villages, but at the same time they bring money and help keeping the villages alive/restored) in the hinterland as well! Great hiking area, mountain bikers are fond of it too)! Bordighera: beautiful! Imperia, Alassio, Albenga, Finale Ligure - go see them!!! That’s the places we know best, surely the rest is nice too. 😊😊😊 Maybe we‘ll show some of the villages in the mountains next time. On the Italian side of the Riviera the mountains drop right into the sea. Makes it extra beautiful and you have many hilltop villages with beautiful views and lovely ancient architecture.
@rivierago Ahhh, sounds fantastic! I will really make sure I visit it this one and further. You are right about the tourists and fireigners. But also about the financial part. It would be a struggle without all those people. I understand you about looking around and filming. I didn't consider it but you are correct. Your idea sounds amazing. To show further and nature around. Perhaps spring time will be fantastic. Thanks dear ladies. Stat well, healthy and ever so smiling and lovely. 🌞
What’s your favorite way to spend a day trip? Exploring an old town, indulging in local food, hunting for unique finds at a market? Or something else entirely?
How was your train ride not crazy crowed going on a Friday? We went on this same train route on a Friday in early October that goes to Ventimiglia but got off early in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The train was so crowded, they were shoving people onto the train in Nice. There was literally no room to move and it was very uncomfortable. People had to shove their way out to get off at their stop. Also, the trains signs that show which stop is next, was wrong. 2 people in our group got off early by mistake and could not get back on the train because it was so crowded. That took an Uber and met us in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. We were told it was so crowded because of the friday market in Ventimiglia. Was it the time of year?
Hi, good remark! We went on January 17. So deep winter. The train is ALWAYS busy during rush hours on weekdays, as many commuters use it for their trip from Nice to Monaco to get to work and back. Plus, there are more tourists going between April and October. So, try to avoid 8-10 AM and 5-7 PM. On our way to Ventimiglia it wasn’t crowded at all (took train at around 10.50). On our way back it became crammed in Monaco (with commuters). We were already well seated then 😅.
@@rivieragoThanks so much for the insider tip! My brother-in-law is one of those people that found an apartment in Nice via Adrian from House Hunters International 😅. So this knowledge will come in handy!
We heard! Damn, we didn’t try to copy the boys… we actually googled this place before going since we didn’t have first hand suggestions for a good restaurant in Ventimiglia. Anyway: great restaurant, enjoyed it a lot!
Nice and Cannes markets are way better than Ventimiglia market in all aspects, this is my personel opinion. I also noticed that italian drivers are really bad drivers and many of them are even dangerous. French drivers are not the best but according to my exeprience, it's was easier and more relaxing for me to drive in France than Italy. Have a nice day ladies.
Nice and Cannes have nice fresh and antiques and souvenir markets, but Ventimiglia is mostly about clothes and leather goods - so that doesn’t really compare, does it (unless there are markets like that in Nice or Cannes that we‘re not aware of 🧐)
This channel is fantastic for two main reasons:
1) To inspire you to visit the region, and 2) To return ❤
@@GoodLlama82 😅👍 🙏
Magical. Thanks.
Thank you too! 🤩
Excellent video, can't wait for more sightseeing with you ! 😍
More to come! 🤩
Great video. Good inspiration for our trip to the region next June. 🙂
Thanx 😁
You ladies are absolutely lovely

We’re going to visit that market when we’re in Nice in April, that’s for sure.
Enjoy! 🤩

AWESOME DAY TRIP! Thx guys 💝💝💝
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊😊
I love Ventimiglia. Bar Gianni on via Cavour has always been my go-to spot for a panini sandwich lunch! Great video, as always!
Cool, thanks for the tip! 😄
Excellent! Can't wait to go! Thank you two! 🤗
Do, go!! 🤩😊🤩

I love local markets and will explore. I will go first thing in the morning with a shopping bag with wheels. 😂
Great idea! 🤩 Have fun!
Thank you for a new amazing video. Is it required to have a passport with you if you go to Ventimiglia from Nice?
I think if you’re not European you should. Mind you, we weren’t checked at all

Yes I know this restaurant, MeandMonami went there last month and gave it a great review. Been there and totally agree with them!
Oh did they - we didn’t even see that 🫣, well that’s proof enough then: great place!! 👍😊

Das ist Mandorlini (Mandel Marzipan Kekse ) . 🤌😄 .
Right! The name rings a bell… Danke! 😊
